Scarlet Oak

Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 18 m high and 18 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting foliage. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Quercus coccinea belongs to the Quercus genus within the Fagaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
