Simon Poplar

Simon Poplar (Populus simonii) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 20 m high and 8 m spread, with a oval canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting foliage. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Populus simonii belongs to the Populus genus within the Salicaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
