London Plane Tree

London Plane Tree (Platanus x acerifolia) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 25 m high and 18 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting bark. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Platanus x acerifolia belongs to the Platanus genus within the Platanaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
