Sacred Fig

Sacred Fig (Ficus religiosa) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 20 m high and 20 m spread, with a spreading canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting foliage. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Ficus religiosa belongs to the Ficus genus within the Moraceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
