Carob

Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 8 m high and 8 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its noted amenity value is prominent fruit. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Ceratonia siliqua belongs to the Ceratonia genus within the Fabaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
