Silk Floss Tree

Silk Floss Tree (Ceiba speciosa) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 18 m high and 18 m spread, with a spreading canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting bark. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Ceiba speciosa belongs to the Ceiba genus within the Malvaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
