Madrone

Madrone (Arbutus menziesii) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 10 m high and 6 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting bark. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Arbutus menziesii belongs to the Arbutus genus within the Ericaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience.
