Prickly Alyxia

A compact rainforest shrub with glossy leaves, fragrant white flowers and orange chain-like fruit. Useful for protected Sydney gardens where a polished evergreen understorey is required.

Alyxia ruscifolia belongs to the Alyxia genus within the Apocynaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical zones in our experience. It is an Australian native we grow and specify regularly.
