Red Ash

Red Ash (Alphitonia excelsa) is a australian native tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 15 m high and 10 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its recorded local performance is somewhat reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Alphitonia excelsa belongs to the Alphitonia genus within the Rhamnaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical, urban zones in our experience. It is an Australian native we grow and specify regularly.
