Japanese Maple

Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) is a exotic tree included in the City of Sydney tree species list. Council data indicates approximately 8 m high and 5 m spread, with a rounded canopy form. Its noted amenity value is interesting foliage. Its recorded local performance is not reliable. Final selection should still account for available soil volume, services, exposure and the mature canopy required on the site.

Acer palmatum belongs to the Acer genus within the Sapindaceae family. It performs reliably across temperate, subtropical zones in our experience.
